Must Do's
There's plenty to explore in Jefferson and Greene County. Climb to the top of the 14-story Mahanay Carillon Bell Tower to hear the bells up close and admire the community's rooftop murals, or stay at ground level to see the sculptures that are scattered throughout the downtown. Pick your own produce at the award-winning Deal's Orchard; watch a professional theater performance at History Boy Theatre Co.; stroll through peaceful prairies at the Thomas Jefferson Gardens of Greene County; learn all there is to know about the community's past at the Green County Historical Museum and more.

Outdoor Adventures & Exciting Eateries
Park your car at the northernmost trailhead of The Raccoon River Valley Trail, located at the historic Milwaukee Railroad Depot, and set off on the 71-mile paved route. Hop on the North Raccoon River Water Trail for stunning views of the river's high bluffs. Discover year-round fun at Spring Lake Park, which boasts an indoor skating rink, swimming beach and boat rentals, disc golf and more.

Once mealtime rolls around, stop by The Centennial for contemporary tastes and historic charm, Peony Chinese Restaurant for authentic Chinese cuisine, Doc's Stadium Bar & Grill for signature burgers or Bett & Bev's BBQ for slow-smoked savory goodness. For a sweet treat, grab a coffee from Greene Bean Coffee or ice cream from Twiins Shoppe
