Iowa State Fair Campgrounds

The Iowa State Fairgrounds is open for camping mid-April through mid-July, and September to mid-October, for non-fair camping. Fair time camping by reservation only. Amenities include 160 acres of tree-lined camping, 2,300 sites with water and electrical hookups and 734 sites with sewers. Three large bathhouses with showers, toilets and sinks accommodate thousands. Five dumping stations provide waste disposal for RVs and trailers, and it is centrally located just off I-80 and I-35 in Des Moines!
