In conjunction with Sioux City Historic Preservation Week, celebrate with us and learn about Sioux City's close and strategically important ties with the nation's railroads.
At one point in time Sioux City had four large locomotive servicing terminals operating; touching the lives of practically everyone that lived here. Today only the Milwaukee Railroad Historic Shops remain to teach and interpret how vitally important a role Sioux City played in the western expansion of the United States.
A lot of new construction has been done over the winter and the volunteers are eager to show off some new surprises. Free admission to this event. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
