Join us on Saturday, April 26, 2025, for the annual Bonnie & Clyde Run, Walk & Bike Race—a unique event that combines history with outdoor adventure along the scenic White Pole Road Byway. Choose from a 5-mile run/walk starting at 9:00 a.m. at the Dexter Museum, where exhibits highlight the infamous Barrow Gang shootout, President Truman’s visit to the National Plowing Match, and Dexter’s rich history. Cyclists can take on the 18-mile bike ride beginning at 9:15 a.m at the historic First National Bank in Stuart, the site of Bonnie and Clyde’s 1934 robbery. The bike route takes riders past the Dexter Museum and north to the historic marker from the abandoned Dexfield Amusement Park, where the Barrow Gang was ambushed in 1933. The course turns at the Shootout Saloon before returning to Stuart. For those looking for a shorter experience, a 1-mile fun run/walk starts at 9:30a.m. —perfect for kids and anyone wanting a more relaxed pace. All participants receive a long-sleeved t-shirt with the victims of Bonnie & Clyde printed on the back, a souvenir, and a medal for the top three finishers in each age division. Don’t miss this chance to run, walk or ride through history.
