Christmas in Kalona

On the first Saturday of every December, downtown Kalona is filled with holiday cheer! Campfires and musicians are set up on street corners. Sip complimentary hot cider and hot cocoa while enjoying the music. Kids can pick up a Stocking at the Kalona Chamber and visit downtown businesses, collecting free small goodies to fill their stockings. Visit the YMCA to start your Christmas shopping at the Kalona Christmas Market. Kids can enjoy face painting, cookie decorating, ornament making, and more! Be sure to stick around for Santa’s arrival and photos with Santa. Walk through the Kalona Historical Village in the evening for the Christmas Tree Walk and caroling. You can join in the caroling, roast marshmallows next to the campfires, and enjoy the beautiful trees decorated by community businesses and organizations. Be sure to vote for your favorite tree!
