Deer Processing and Jerky Making Date: Saturday, January 18, 2025 Time: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Location: Conservation Office, 2490 Briggs Woods Trail, Webster City, IA Have you wondered how to make deer jerky or process your deer meat? If so come and participate in meat cutting, grinding, packaging, mixing sausage, mixing jerky, and using a jerky gun. We will discuss how to use smokers, dehydrators, ovens, and grills to prepare your venison. Meat processing is a skill that everyone used to possess in order to survive on the frontier. We will have some recipes and jerky samples for people to enjoy. The program is limited to the first 50 people who register online.
