Join us as we celebrate International Dot Day at the market on September 21st! The Waterloo Urban Farmers Market is once again partnering with the Waterloo Public Library, Waterloo Public Schools, Waterloo Center for the Arts, and downtown businesses to bring a wonderful celebration of creativity to downtown! This event is FREE and open to the public. • Check out the Red Dot Specials or special products available at the market from participating market vendors • Whether you are 8 or 88, come make your mark on the plaza using sidewalk chalk • Using bingo daubers, help us create a collaborative dot mural to be displayed at the Waterloo Public Library upon completion • Read “The Dot” Story Walk while strolling through the market • Print a dot themed postcard using Pretty Good Co.'s printing press at the market • Weave some yarn and ribbon through a bicycle wheel to create a one-of-a-kind "dot" • Have fun with some dot themed art activities at The Waterloo Center for the Arts booth • Join us for 10:30 storytime with a reading of The Dot, followed by East High Spanish teacher, Julio Urdaneta reading El Punto and Melissa Breddin, French teacher at West reading Le Point de Départ • Join the hula hoop class provided by the Cedar Valley Sportsplex • After the market, find Waterloo students’ dots at the Waterloo Public Library, the Waterloo Center for the Arts, and downtown businesses We will continue to update the Facebook event description as more fun activities are added.
