Opening of Treehouse Village!

Starting September 5, 2024, a dream is realized! Iowa Arboretum & Gardens is the proud home of Treehouse Village, a place where children and families of all ages and abilities will be able to play together outdoors and surrounded by nature. The accessible elevated structure is situated along accessible trails in a beautiful regenerating Oak-Hickory woodland. In addition to the play area, there are several treehouses that look down over a deep ravine along a cliff edge and a suspension bridge. The paved trails are dotted with hands-on creative areas that encourage imagination combined with the use of forest floor loose parts and resources to build natural forts, create improvised art, design mythical fairy doors or whatever magical works that may come to mind. Come out and experience Treehouse Village - the most unique outdoor, all abilities play space in Iowa - Where Nature & Play Are Elevated!
