The Van Meter Visitor Festival

Get ready for a weekend filled with Iowa folklore, mystery and history as the town of Van Meter celebrates its unique history of being attacked by a giant 9-foot bat-like creature back in 1903. A flap of modern sightings has sparked new life into this 120-year-old legend showcasing Iowa's most mysterious folklore legend! The festival will celebrate Iowa's unique folklore history with guided monster walking tours, paranormal presentations, monster themed games, drinks, food and much more......
