University of Okoboji Winter Games and Kite Festival

Always the last full weekend in January! For over 40 years, when the temperatures drop, things heat up on the frozen waters of Lake Okoboji. This weekend is a winter tradition that bringing tens of thousands of people to the Iowa Great Lakes Area for three days of family fun. Events include: Kite Festival, Softball, Bags Toss, Flag Football, Broomball, Human Foosball, Chocolate Classic, Chili Cook-Off, Omelet Breakfast, fireworks, the Polar Plunge and much, much more!
