Guthrie Center was plated in 1856. The first railroad to be built in Guthrie County was the “narrow gauge” railroad.

There are many locally shops located in Guthrie Center including, Art on State, Bean Armory, Cabbage Rose Tea Room, Dowd Drug, Eighmy Friedich Monument Co, Faith’s Fashion Design, Gap Creek Quilting Mercantile, Hometown Foods, JV Massage & Bodywork, Pearls & Lace, Pink Poppy Apothecary, Sapphire Skin & Co., and Strawberry Patch. 

Outdoor Adventures & Exciting Eateries
Springbrook State Park is located 11 minutes away from Guthrie Center where there are 118 campsites.  There are also 12 miles of great hiking trails and a 14 acre lake for swimming in the summertime.  Guthrie Center also has a golf course located on the east side of town. 

Check out the local places to eat in town including Cabbage Rose, Café on the Hill, IncrediBowl, and Prime Time.  Don’t forget to stop by M&L Ice Cream for some delicious ice cream in the summer! 

Community Highlights
There are multiple events throughout the year in Guthrie Center. Farmer’s Market is June-October with it rounding out the season with their Annual Fall Festival. There is fun for the whole family Guthrie County Fair held on Labor Day weekend. 

There are multiple places to stay when visiting Guthrie Center. Check out the Firefly Creek Ranch, Midway Motel or Sherburn House at Springbrook State Park. Also there are three airbnb’s available in town which include the Small Town Mansion, Seeley Creek Cabin & Hunting Lodge and The Quiet Place.
