Lewis

The town of Lewis is a quiet community located on a hilltop overlooking the Nishnabotna River valley and the Lewis Cold Springs Lake State Park. We enjoy easy access to I-80, Highways 92 & 6 to go east toward Des Moines or west to Omaha, Nebraska. Highways 59 or 71 to get north or south we have good roads to get to places of employment.

Lewis is a cozy rural community that 438 people love to call home. We have strong values, a thriving school district and are a great place to raise a family.  Just of the few benefits found in our town are close-knit neighbors, pride in our community, and low crime rates.

We have a vibrant community organization, Lewis Community Builders, working on initiatives to grow our community and our town. They are skilled at organizing community events and improving the appeal of and pride within the community.
