Mc Gregor
Must Do's
Nicknamed "The Pocket City," McGregor is nestled between the Mississippi River and its surrounding river bluffs. Take in the Driftless Area's unique scenery by visiting one of the overlooks at Pikes Peak State Park. Spend the night at the campground and explore 11 miles of trails or simply relax with a fire. McGregor's charming commercial district offers an array of boutiques, including bookstores, specialty shops, a bakery, an art gallery, antiques, a museum and plenty of food and beverage choices.
Outdoor Adventures & Exciting Eateries
Explore the Mississippi River by fishing, hanging out at the Big Buoys Tiki Bar or renting a pontoon boat during the warmer months. Kids of all ages will enjoy a guided boat tour of Spook Cave or taking a few runs through the Turner Park splash pad.
After the day's adventures, check out the award-winning Old Man River Restaurant & Brewery or find the best of comfort food at Backwoods Bar & Grill. Or, retreat to your private Airbnb and gaze at the stars while enjoying a glass of wine or take & bake meal from By The Spoonful.
Community Highlights
While summer is great on the river, you won't want to miss the area's stunning fall color display or the 5K/10K run and art festival in early October.
