Risefest is one of the biggest events in Northwest Iowa and takes place in June each year, and Sheldon's Annual Celebration Days festival is held annually on Labor Day weekend.

Hit the trails in Sheldon with ever-expanding paths across the city, or take in some disc golf at Hills Park. Or test your swing at the Sheldon Golf and Country Club.

Langer's Bar is a popular place and has an extensive menu and is open for lunch and dinner.  Or try Cook's Cafe or the Italian Cowboy Cafe! The Breu Haus is a great gathering place whether you prefer coffee or beer! Or if wine is more your speed, visit Grandma's Fruit Juice Winery.
