Must Do's
This town of all painted-white houses gets its water from the world's largest Swedish coffeepot, a water tower honoring its immigrant heritage. A visit to see the coffeepot, located right next to the Swedish Heritage & Cultural Center, is a great place to start any visit to Stanton!
Outdoor Adventures & Exciting Eateries
Viking Lake State Park is located just outside Stanton and is a hub of outdoor recreation activities. The park has a no-wake lake, beach, volleyball court, horseshoe pits, trails and fishing access. Trails include a 5.5-mile multi-use trail around the lake and the one-mile Burr Oak Nature Trail. The campground is located on the lakeshore and includes a range of site options.
Start the day off right at Fika Coffee Hus & Kustom Sweets - from hot drinks and snacks to a range of baked goods and prepared foods to take home. Gibbs Chophouse has a changing menu of dinner options Thursday through Saturday nights, and is the place to be for Sunday brunch!
Community Highlights
A range of events include the Annual Holiday Hoopla and Swedish Holiday Meal - keep an eye on the City of Stanton community calendar for event details.
