Stockport

Stockport (pop. 291) was settled in the late 1800s, it was not incorporated until 1902, making it our youngest village. The railroad reached the settlement in 1882. Stockport’s first school was organized in 1889. The village proudly shows its patriotism with an impressive “Avenue of Flags,” display four times a year; Flag Day, Memorial Day, July 4th & Veterans Day. Stockport is also home to Morris Park.

Stockport is one of 11 Villages of Van Buren which include Bentonsport, Birmingham Bonaparte, Cantril, Douds-Leando, Farmington, Iowaville-Selma, Keosauqua, Milton and Mount Sterling.
