Strawberry Point

Show Contact Information +
Strawberry Point is home to the world’s largest fiberglass strawberry. Visitors enjoy strawberry shortcake at the historic Franklin Hotel, built in 1902.

South of the community is Backbone State Park, Iowa’s oldest state park. Visitors enjoy hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing or snowmobiling on the winding 21-mile multi-use trails. For the more adventurous, climb Backbone's rugged limestone cliffs located near Backbone Trail. Visitors also enjoy fishing the exceptional trout streams and lake, picnicking in the park and spending weekends camping in the park campground.
