Outdoor Adventures & Exciting Eateries
The area's beautiful, glacier-carved lakes cover approximately 15,000 acres and include Iowa’s largest natural lake, Spirit Lake. Spring-fed West Lake Okoboji is the centerpiece of the five chain lakes, and the surrounding communities provide the backdrop for Okoboji’s year-round playground with water sports in the summer and cold-weather activities such as snowmobiling, ice-fishing and the University of Okoboji Winter Games. For on-land fun, ride or walk around the lakes on the Iowa Great Lakes Trail or hike the trail system at Horseshoe Ben County Wildlife Preserve.
Complete your visit by grabbing a slice of pizza and a delicious brew from West O Beer or enjoy a selection from the Nautical Bar & Grill's extensive menu.
