Belgum Grove Preserve

Show Contact Information +
Belgum Grove spans 40 acres of former pasture that is crossed by Dirty Face Creek. The land was donated in 1998 by David and Kathie Belgum to be used for education, research and recreation. The preserve features prairie, a small wetland and pond, and a grove of pine and apple trees. Belgum Grove is a beautiful rolling landscape with prairie and wetland plants, birds and other wildlife to see. Bur Oak has been aggressive about removing invasive reed canary grass from around the pond to bring back native grasses and sedges. Explore the preserve by hiking along the trails or grab your fishing license, rod and tackle box to catch some largemouth bass, catfish and bluegill in the pond.
