Brookwood Disc Golf Course

Brookwood Park is a large recreational area along the Cedar River, south of the previous site of the Green Bridge that was located on 6th Ave SE. This park features walking trails and a non-motorized boat ramp and is also the location of Waverly's 18-hole Disc Golf Course! The Disc Golf course was added to the park in the early 2000's. After the spring flood in 2018, many of the baskets were ruined beyond repair and it was time to replace them. After receiving a grant from the Bremer County Community Foundation and many generous donations, the course received a much-needed upgrade! In 2022 the course expanded from 9 holes to 18 and also received new signage and maps, baskets and pads! It's been rated as one of the best disc golf courses in the area with a great mixture of park, prairie and wooded areas!
