Camanche Historical Society Museum

The historical board was set up in 1978. It took over the former train depot in 1983 but wanted a larger home for all of its artifacts. In 1995, the society acquired a historic warehouse building built in 1848, but vandals set fire to it just before they were ready to move into the building. For the past three to four years, the board has relied on an all-volunteer workforce to renovate, maintain and staff the museum.
