Cedar Falls Visitor Center

The Cedar Falls Visitor Center is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the vestibule is conveniently open 24/7. Its shaded outdoor patio seating offers motorists a perfect location for a picnic. The center serves as a trailhead for the Prairie Lakes Loop of the Cedar Valley Trails. Fishing, bicycling, and walking are popular activities near the visitor center and there are binoculars and educational brochures available for bird watching. The City of Cedar Falls is a designated Bird Friendly Community and recently received a renewal of their bronze-level Bicycle Friendly Community status through the League of American Bicyclists through 2027. The City of Cedar Falls is also home to the University of Northern Iowa Panthers with a diverse student body from around the world.
