The Jackson County Freedom Rock is located in Bellevue. Each county in the state has a freedom rock. The artist of the large painted rock is Ray "Bubba" Sorensen II whom paints in honor of veterans. Bellevue's American Legion Post #273 took on the project by taking donations for brick pavers in honor or memory of veterans. Flags of each armed force in the United States are also displayed around the Freedom Rock.
