Crawford County Freedom Rock

The Iowa Freedom Rocks are a project undertaken by Bubba Sorensen of Greenfield. The aim of the project is to honor veterans and promote tourism. Nearly all Iowa counties either have one or are scheduled to have one soon. Crawford County's Freedom Rock is located on Main Street in Manilla. This rock is dedicated to all branches of the military and specifically honors three relatively recent KIA's that grew up in Crawford County. A small beautiful park surrounds the rock itself.
