DeBoer Grocery Store Museum
The DeBoer museum still contains the original grocery store shelving and the walk-in meat cooler that once held local produce. The museum is full of history and contains artifacts from the original DeBoer Grocery Store, Hoffman's Shoe Repair, Knutson's Clothing Store and St. Joseph's School. Attached to the museum you will explore a three-room home from 1882 fully furnished from that time period.
The museum is open on Memorial Day and throughout the Ashton Town & Country Day's celebration, otherwise contact Dorthy Breuer at 712-724-6504 for a private showing. There is no cost for admission but donations are always welcome.
