Deep Lakes Park

Former sand and gravel pits include 435 acres of space with over 120 acres of deep, clear water in numerous lakes and ponds. There are boat ramps on Lakes Chester and Jewell and an accessible fishing dock on Lake Chester. Swimming is ONLY allowed at the swimming beach. Amenities include a hard-surfaced hiking/biking trail that connects to the Greater Muscatine Trail System and four cabins that are available for rent all year. The area is known for excellent fishing. Boating is trolling motor only (except for loading). Beach hours are 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
