The Museum is the site of Lenox College built in 1859, The college was inducted into the National Registry of Historic Places in 1974. The Museum consists of four of the original campus buildings including, the main hall, the library, girls dormitory, and the gymnasium. Other buildings surrounding the campus include, the church, one room school, train depot & train car and two agricultural buildings. Each one of the buildings hosts multiple exhibits.
