Delaware Crossing Scenic Byway - Hopkinton

Explore history, spend time on land and water trails in the Maquoketa River valley or stop in a shop downtown in the small community of Hopkinton. Hopkinton is home to Historic Lenox College and the 1st American Civil War Monument on a College Campus. Historic Lenox College is now the Delaware County Historical Museum Campus, which holds a rich treasure trove of collections and stories (NE College St., NE College Ave., 3rd St., or Grove St.). Take a tour of the historic college campus buildings, pursue the many collections, or learn the poignant story behind the monument. Outdoor interpretation is available. The site’s nine historic buildings are open for tours Tuesday-Sunday, 1:00-4:00pm, June through September.
