Driftless Station Loft
Welcome to the most unique vacation rental in the driftless region. Driftless Station was originally built in 1923 as the Marquette Public School and it housed grades K–12. Given the unique charm and rich history, this schoolhouse was completely renovated, 1,800 square feet, custom designed in 2024, styled with a mix of modern/farmhouse also incorporating original schoolhouse windows, chalkboards, and skylight into the design. As you enter, you'll be impressed with the 12' ceilings throughout the open concept kitchen/great room that offers a large 10 foot granite island as well as a great room with comfortable seating for up to 10, pool table and coffee bar renovated from an original schoolhouse classroom bookcase/storage hutch. There are 3 bedrooms; the private primary suite also offers attached primary walk-through wet room with soaker tub, dual head showers, and double sink vanity that both spaces overlook the South and West bluffs. A second bathroom is a combination full bath with laundry. You're sure to enjoy the third story views of downtown, the Marquette-Juliet Bridge, and bluffs in every season. Tucked into a hillside, downtown and Mississippi River access are just blocks away.
