Eugene Kock Memorial Park

The Eugene Kock Memorial Park is dedicated to our servicemen and women who have served our country. The center monument is dedicated to Eugene Kock, a serviceman from our local area who was killed in action fighting in Vietnam. The beautiful monument was made by an artist commissioned to create a battlefield cross with the helmet, boots and firearm from the Vietnam era. The monument is surrounded by engraved pavers with the names of fallen soldiers from the area who lost their lives during World I and World War II. In addition, memorial pavers from local citizens finish out the beautiful, peaceful park. A Lincoln Highway Byway sign offers a historical time line for the City of Westside. The park is handicapped accessible and is complete with a pergola offering a nice picnic stop for anyone traveling the Lincoln Highway.
