Flaming Prairie Park

Flaming Prairie is a 72 acre park located along the Mississippi River. There is a primitive boat access to the Mississippi at the end of the long road. Unfortunately, this area is often closed due to high water levels on the Mississippi River, which seep into the campground and make the road rather soggy. When open, it is a beautiful campground with Mississippi River Access. The area features a wetland and a shelter that can be reserved. it is located just off County Road X61, also known as the Great River Road and would be a fantastic place to view pelicans, bald eagles and other wildlife.
