Members of the public are invited to tour Sioux City’s new permanent history exhibit “Holocaust Rails, Desperate Passage” at the Sioux City Railroad Museum, 3400 Sioux River Road. A railcar, a highlight in the exhibit, depicts the mass transportation of Jewish people others to concentration camps during World War 11. The educational exhibit, an extension of Sioux City’s annual Tolerance Week, opened in May, 2024. It’s hours are Thursday-Saturday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., Sundays, 12 noon- 4 p.m., and on Wednesdays by appointment.
