Keokuk-Hamilton Dam Museum
The newest attraction in Southeast Iowa is the Keokuk-Hamilton Dam Museum. It showcases the construction of the power plant and dam from the time the idea was conceived until the completion in 1913.
There were many "firsts" associated with this power plant and dam as shown in one of the displays. The museum features a virtual video tour of the today's interior of the power plant.
Admission charge ranges from $5.00 to $7.00. The museum hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
