Lake Icaria

Lake Icaria is a 650-acre lake destination in southwest Iowa, conveniently located 90 miles southwest of Des Moines, 90 miles southeast of Omaha/Council Bluffs, and 90 miles north of St Joseph. Lake Icaria Recreation Area features camping, fishing, boating, swimming, kayaking, hiking, 18-hole disc golf, archery, picnicking, and hunting. The lake features a 1 1/4-mile tubing and ski zone and a 300-foot beach swim area. There are multiple hiking trails, including our Storybook Trail perfect for the whole family. Everyone will find their ideal spot to stay with 2 Campgrounds with over 150 campsites, 14 Cabins, 2 Cottages, and 4 Shelters which are available to reserve online at http://www.mycountyparks.com.
