The Lake Orient Recreation Area ia located one mile west of Orient on Hwy. 25. Henry A. Wallace historical marker. Wallace was born near Orient, Wallace served as a U.S. Vice President, U.S. Secretary of Agriculture and U.S. Secretary of Commerce. The campground offers a tornado saferoom / shower building.
