Langwood Education Center

Langwood Education Center is open by reservation only, or for public programs. This beautiful 130-acre area includes the future site of the Louisa Interpretive Center. The area is available for group rentals. There is a rustic lodge with a small kitchenette, fridge, stove and microwave, a wood burning stove for heat and air conditioning for summer. There is a showerhouse with running water and flushing toilets. The area has plenty of space for pitching tents, but also has an a-frame dormitory with 21 cots. There are about five miles of wooded, winding hiking trails and a five-acre pond with canoes, fishing is allowed with rentals. Enjoy a campfire or cooking at one of several fire pits. Langwood also features a High Ropes Challenge Course. Groups can work on teamwork and communication through low and high ropes adventures on the course.
