Lefse Lodge Kafe

The Lefse Lodge Kafe is a corner kafe started by Rod Flaskerud and Cheryl Haggerty in a desire to share a little bit of Norway, from Rod's heritage with the community and visitors to Decorah. The Lefse Lodge Kafe opened December 2, 2024 in the previous space known as Java John's. With many updates and remodeling the Lefse Lodge Kafe has increased seating and serves breakfast and lunch all day. Menu items include; pastries made daily, such as muffins, scones, sticky pecan rolls, cinnamon rolls and much more. Rod takes pleasure in sharing his love for cooking and making Lefse, Kringla, Rommegrot and strawberry pies when the berries are good and sweet. To that he adds a touch of homemade whipping cream. Ham balls and Norske meatballs with potato and vegetable are just a few of the special items you can find on our menu Our coffee bar includes coffees ranging from light to dark blend and usually includes one flavored option, Tyler's acid free coffee upon request and many specialty options at the barista station. Breakfast and lunch are served from 6:30 a.m.-2 p.m. and take out is available. In the works is a delivery option.
