Our lady of Grace Grotto was built by Benedictine monks in 1929 with rocks from the Holy Land and hundreds of geodes (Iowa's state rock). Inside the grotto the Blessed Virgin Mary is flanked by two seashells, one from the Atlantic Ocean and one from the Pacific Ocean.
