South Skunk River Water Trail - Lekwa Access

This State Water Trail spans 33 miles of the South Skunk River Water with 11 access points, offering an estimated 8-hour float time for the entire trail and great stream fishing. The Lekwa Access is located directly off of Interstate 35, north of Ames. For more than water activities, stop at the neighboring E-18 Greenbelt Access, for a scenic woodland hike, mountain biking experience, or equestrian ride.
