Wabash Depot Museum Complex
This historic complex includes a museum, Wabash depot, a country school, country church and summer kitchen. The historic train depot is open for tours on the first weekend in June, July, August and September, or by appointment. A statue of Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox at the site honors James Floyd Stevens, an author from Albia who was most well known for his literary work Paul Bunyan. Paul Bunyan was inspired by tall tales Stevens heard in logging camps as a boy. This property is listed on National Register of Historic Places.
