Wells Visitor Center & Ice Cream Parlor

Did you know that more ice cream is made in Le Mars, Iowa than any other location on earth? That is why in 1994 we were named the Ice Cream Capital of the World! That is also why the Wells Visitor Center and Ice Cream Parlor celebrates everything ice cream, from how Wells began to how we have grown into a worldwide family of brands that continues to bring the best frozen sweet treats to your freezer. At the parlor we have created interactive experiences ranging from a virtual production line, to racing our freezer robots (you can’t beat them), several photo ops, dig into the history of Wells on the history wall, or watch one or both, of the free movies aired every 15 minutes in our theater. Whether you decide to get your treat right when you get here or on your way out, or both, we won’t judge, there is plenty of seating available either on our main floor or upstairs. If you visit during the warmer months, outside seating is available, in fact, we boast the only rooftop patio with outdoor seating in Le Mars! If you are planning a gathering with family, friends, or a need a space for a work meeting, contact us about renting our event room. When renting the room you also have access to a kitchenette, separate bathrooms, and a large TV great for presentations, videos, or photo reels.
