Chichaqua Valley Trail

This 26-mile recreational trail, established 1987, is located in Eastern Polk County extending into Jasper County. This paved trail is popular with cyclists, runners and hikers.

The trail cuts through sprawling meadows, rolling farmland and beautiful hardwood timbers, full of wildlife, providing serene landscapes.

Various trailhead access points are available along the trail at Berwick, Bondurant, Northeast 88th Street, Mingo, Ira and Baxter.

Motorized vehicles are prohibited, except for maintenance and emergency vehicles. This restriction does not apply to a manual-operated or power-driven device designed primarily for use by an individual with a mobility disability.
