Cinder Path Trail
Iowa's first rail trail winds its way down the Chariton River Valley. Visitors can enjoy looking at wildflowers, prairie areas, native Iowa timber and plenty of wildlife when using this trail.
The trail's surface can become rough in some areas, making it difficult for bike riders with narrow tires. Campers, swimmers and boaters can also find fun nearby at Red Haw State Park.
