Prairie Farmer Recreational Trail
The Prairie Famer Recreational Trail is an easy ride traversing twenty miles of scenic woodlands, meadows and agricultural land through northeast Iowa. The quiet trail offers great opportunities for viewing native wildflowers and wildlife.
The trail is named for a radio show once broadcast in the Midwest. It primarily follows the abandoned Milwaukee Railroad line that went from Calmar to Cresco, switching briefly to the streets while passing through Ridgeway. The trail is well-marked with emergency signage.
